The smallsword reigned supreme from 1675-1800, seeing it’s rise during the reign of Charles II and ending around the time of the French Revolution.  The superiority of the thrust led to a lighter more delicate weapon.  The smallsword brought forth an age of dueling, at which point many members of European aristocracies lost their lives, dueling became outlawed.  Around 1800, swordplay evolved into recreational use and modern sport fencing.

From 1350-1550 the broadsword was wielded by knights and soldiers alike during the Medieval ages.  The broadsword was used primarily as a cut and thrust weapon and saw widespread use across Europe on many battlefields.  We carry both single handed and hand and a half broadswords.

The Single Sword is a fencing sabre mounted with an epee blade. Single Sword style is a theatrical type of swordplay commonly associated with the light and fast style of swordplay used during “The Golden Era of Hollywood”. This sword and style possess great versatility and will provide maximum panache and ZA to any theatrical production.

Knives have been around all through out the ages in various forms.  Used and tools and weapons alike, knives have a versatile use onstage.  Knives can be a great alternative to any modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s cannon.  We carry steel, aluminum and rubber knives.

One of the most basic and simple weapons, the staff.  In the hands of skilled warrior one of the deadliest and versatile weapons wielded through out history.  Swords were not the only weapon dominating ancient battlefields, axes served as a great tool and weapon of war through out the Middle Ages.  Our Quarterstaffs and Polearms are ambidextrous for your convenience at no extra charge.

All of our shields are 21 or 16 inches in diameter made of steel.  Each shield is adjustable with a 7/16 wrench for the comfort of the performer. We also carry smaller steel bucklers to suit a wide variety of productions.
